When you want to learn
We can explore useful parts of the craft, including observation, character, setting, imagery, story movement, poetry, revision, and sharing. We can learn without turning the room into school.
A place to create, write, tell stories, explore, and connect. There is guidance for people who want to learn more about creative writing. There is also freedom for people who simply want to explore and make something of their own.
SEEN brings story, expression, encounter, and new experiences into one community space. No perfect grammar, formal training, or performance is required. Participate at your own pace. You can also simply come and listen.
What to expect
We want SEEN to make room for both. This is not a classroom, and we are not here to judge anyone’s talent, grammar, or vocabulary. We may learn a creative-writing idea, play an original game, follow a prompt, or simply make time for people to explore what interests them. You may join the shared activity, change it to fit you, work on your own idea, listen, or pass.
We can explore useful parts of the craft, including observation, character, setting, imagery, story movement, poetry, revision, and sharing. We can learn without turning the room into school.
We can use SEEN Original Games, prompts, conversation, sound, movement, drawing, or our own interests to see where creativity takes us.
No grades. No tests. No forced performances. No right way to create. We just do it and have fun in the process!
